Application of Peristaltic Pumps in Tissue Perfusion Experiments

Tissue perfusion is one of the experimental methods used in medical schools and research institutions for pharmacological or physiological studies. For example, when studying the distribution of neurons in isolated brain tissue, in order to maintain the physiological activity of the isolated tissue or organ during the experiment, it is necessary to continuously deliver oxygenated culture medium to the isolated tissue or organ. This process is called tissue perfusion. Tissue perfusion experiments are suitable for physiological and pharmacological studies of tissues and organs such as blood vessels, smooth muscles, myocardium, coronary arteries, and the large intestine.

During tissue perfusion, a peristaltic pump is generally used in conjunction with electrophysiological equipment to deliver oxygenated culture medium to the isolated tissue or organ, ensuring the smooth conduct of the experiment. The peristaltic pump can be adjusted and controlled by setting the perfusion mode, perfusion speed, and perfusion volume to meet different research and tissue construction requirements.

Recommended Configuration: BT101L/DG-2
