A laboratory injection pump introduces the electrolyte into the anode and cathode chambers of the battery at the same specific flow rate.

A study investigated the performance of a photocatalytic fuel cell in degrading wastewater while generating electricity under illumination. The fuel cell operates with continuous liquid input. The performance of the photocatalytic fuel cell was tested under conditions of both constant and varying electrolyte flow rates, and the effects of the electrolyte flow rate on the cell's electricity generation and wastewater degradation were analyzed.

During the research, a dual-channel infusion-extraction laboratory injection pump was used to introduce the electrolyte into the anode and cathode chambers of the photocatalytic fuel cell at the same specific flow rate. This allowed the determination of the influence of electrolyte flow rate on the performance of the photocatalytic fuel cell and the identification of an optimal flow rate to achieve better cell performance.

The electrolyte serves to conduct electrons between the anode and cathode in the battery. Experiments indicate that its flow rate should neither be too high nor too low. The micro-injection pump, as the power source of the entire system, provides a stable electrolyte flow rate, which ensures high performance of the photocatalytic wastewater fuel cell.
